Passing Storm
Original painting by Nanci McCune
24” x 36” | Oil on canvas | SOLD
During the monsoon season in Tucson, I watch the skies almost every night in case there’s another wonderful sunset. Perhaps there are only a few clouds that capture my attention, but I photograph all of them and keep them in a file in case I need them for color inspiration. One evening I looked out and saw nothing but dull gray and black clouds from an all day rainstorm. Less than ten minutes later, I happened to glance outside where the dark gray clouds looked like curtains opening into another dimension.
