Monsoon Reflection

Most of my paintings are inspired by photos that I take from our backyard during the monsoon season in Tucson, AZ.  I have a collection of photos I call, “looking out our back door.” Before starting a new painting, I search through the photos to see if any of the colors and shapes will work. “Monsoon Reflection,” was inspired by a photo I took one evening after a storm had passed. I went outside to look at the sky and noticed a slight reflection in our next door neighbor’s window. I took a photo that was so amazing, I started this painting the next day!
